VULNERABILITY DETAILS


This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.

The specific flaw exists within the handling of PDFs that contain embedded JPEG2000 files. The issue lies in the failure to ensure that indexes are within the bounds of an allocated buffer. An attacker could leverage this vulnerability to execute code under the context of the current process.
