This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations of Foxit Reader. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.

The specific flaw exists within the way Foxit uses the Gdiplus API. A specially crafted PDF can force a dangling pointer to be reused after it has been freed in GpRuntime::GpLock::GpLock. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code under the context of the current process.
