VULNERABILITY DETAILS

This vulnerability allows local attackers to create arbitrary files on vulnerable installations of Huawei Reader. An attacker must first obtain the ability to execute low-privileged code on the target system in order to exploit this vulnerability.

The specific flaw exists within the handling of FileName parameters. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of a user-supplied path prior to using it in file operations. An attacker can leverage this in conjunction with other vulnerabilities to execute code in the context of the current process.
