August 12th, 2019

Vulnerability Details

This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations of EZAutomation EZTouch Editor. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.

The specific flaw exists within the handling of EZP files. When parsing the file, the process does not properly validate the length of user-supplied data prior to copying it to a fixed-length stack-based buffer.
