VULNERABILITY DETAILS

This vulnerability allows remote attackers to bypass the SmartScreen security feature on affected installations of Microsoft Windows. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.

The specific flaw exists within the verification of signatures on executables. The issue results from the lack of a proper security warning message. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user.
