Hewlett Packard Enterprise AutoPass License Server hsqldb Remote Code Execution Vulnerability

Vulnerability Details

This vulnerability allows network-adjacent attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Hewlett Packard Enterprise AutoPass License Server. Although authentication is required to exploit this vulnerability, the existing authentication mechanism can be bypassed.

The specific flaw exists within the hsqldb service, which listens on TCP port 9001 by default. The issue results from using a vulnerable third party component. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of root.
