Wazuh Cluster DAPI Protocol Deserialization of Untrusted Data Remote Code Execution Vulnerability

August 11th, 2026

Vulnerability Details

This vulnerability allows network-adjacent attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Wazuh. An attacker must first obtain the ability to execute low-privileged code on a worker node in order to exploit this vulnerability.

The specific flaw exists within the as_wazuh_object deserializer. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in deserialization of untrusted data. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of root on the master node.
