Microsoft Office HTML Injection Information Disclosure Vulnerability

Vulnerability Details

This vulnerability allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information on affected installations of Microsoft Office. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.

The specific flaw exists within the handling of query string parameters. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can lead to the injection of arbitrary HTML. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to disclose stored credentials, leading to further compromise.
