NI LabVIEW VI File Parsing Integer Overflow Information Disclosure Vulnerability
Vulnerability Details
This vulnerability allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information on affected installations of NI LabVIEW. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
The specific flaw exists within the parsing of VI files. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in an integer overflow before reading from memory. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to disclose information in the context of the current process.
