Apple Safari file:// Redirection Sandbox Escape Vulnerabliity

This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations of Apple Safari. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.

The specific flaw exists within the handling of popups to invalid pages. The issue lies in the ability to control the history of a window with higher privileges. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code outside the context of the Safari sandbox.
