Foxit Reader JBIG2 Out-Of-Bounds Read Remote Code Execution Vulnerability
Vulnerability Details
This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations of Foxit Reader. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
The specific flaw exists within JBIG2 parsing. A specially crafted JBIG2 file embedded in a PDF file can force Foxit Reader to read memory past the end of an allocated object. An attacker could leverage this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code under the context of the current process.
