Apple OS X WindowServer Type Confusion Privilege Escalation Vulnerability
Vulnerability Details
This vulnerability allows local attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations of Apple OS X. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
The specific flaw exists within CoreGraphics. By interacting with _XSetDictionaryForCurrentSession, an attacker can cause a type confusion condition. An attacker could leverage this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code under the context of the WindowServer.
