Apple OS X WindowServer Heap-Buffer Overflow Privilege Escalation Vulnerability
Vulnerability Details
This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations of Apple OS X. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
The specific flaw exists within CoreGraphics. By interacting with _XRegisterCursorWithData, an attacker can cause a heap buffer overflow. An attacker could leverage this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code under the context of the WindowServer.
