VULNERABILITY DETAILS


This vulnerability allows local attackers to delete arbitrary files on vulnerable installations of Huawei Reader. An attacker must first obtain the ability to execute low-privileged code on the target system in order to exploit this vulnerability.

The specific flaw exists within the handling of the onChapPack function. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of a user-supplied path prior to using it in file operations. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to delete any files accessible to the user.
