(Pwn2Own) Huawei App Market Whitelist Bypass Privilege Escalation Vulnerability
Vulnerability Details
This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on vulnerable installations of Huawei App Market. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
The specific flaw exists within the handling of whitelisted domains. The issue lies in the lack of verification that content was loaded over a secure channel. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to escalate privileges to resources normally protected from the application.
