Advantech iView DeviceTreeTable exportTaskMgrReport Directory Traversal Remote Code Execution Vulnerability
Vulnerability Details
This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Advantech iView. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability.
The specific flaw exists within the processing of calls to the exportTaskMgrReport method of the DeviceTreeTable class. When parsing the filename parameter, the process does not properly validate a user-supplied path prior to using it in file operations. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of SYSTEM.
