Advantech iView DeviceTreeTable exportInventoryTable Directory Traversal File Creation Vulnerability
Vulnerability Details
This vulnerability allows remote attackers to create arbitrary files on affected installations of Advantech iView. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability.
The specific flaw exists within the processing of calls to the exportInventoryTable method of the DeviceTreeTable class. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of a user-supplied path prior to using it in file operations. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to create files in the context of SYSTEM.
