Kaspersky Total Security Directory Traversal Denial-of-Service Vulnerability
Vulnerability Details
This vulnerability allows local attackers to create a denial-of-service condition on affected installations of Kaspersky Total Security. An attacker must first obtain the ability to execute low-privileged code on the target system in order to exploit this vulnerability.
The specific flaw exists within Kaspersky Lab Launcher. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of a user-supplied path prior to using it in file operations. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to create a denial-of-service condition on the system.
