This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Trend Micro Apex Central. Authentication is required to exploit this vulnerability.

The specific flaw exists within the processing of set_certificates_config requests to the modTMMS endpoint. When parsing the dbCert parameter, the process does not properly validate a user-supplied string before using it to construct SQL queries. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the IUSR user.
