VMware HCX listExtensions SQL Injection Remote Code Execution Vulnerability

Vulnerability Details

This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of VMware HCX. Authentication is required to exploit this vulnerability.

The specific flaw exists within the implementation of the listExtensions method. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of a user-supplied string before using it to construct SQL queries. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the postgres user.
