(Pwn2Own) Home Assistant Green Simple Service Discovery Protocol Server-Side Request Forgery Vulnerability
Vulnerability Details
This vulnerability allows network-adjacent attackers to initiate arbitrary server-side requests on affected installations of Home Assistant Green. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability.
The specific flaw exists within the handling of SSDP headers. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of a URI prior to accessing resources. An attacker can leverage this in conjunction with other vulnerabilities to execute arbitrary code in the context of root.
